Vladimir Konstantinovich, Doctor of Economics, professor, and mentor to many, is a towering figure in the history of Kazakhstan’s accounting and auditing. His name is forever entwined with the establishment and development of these fields, and he is deservedly called as the founding father of Kazakhstan’s financial audit and accounting systems.
Vladimir Konstantinovich Radostovets embodied a whole epoch in the development and formation of accounting in the republic, he was a great man, accountant, scientist, teacher, Doctor of Science, Economics, honoured worker of science and technology of Kazakhstan.
But as we all know, behind every great man there is a great woman. Who was this great and amazing woman who was always at Vladimir Konstantinovich's side, supporting and believing in him, inspiring and encouraging him throughout his life?
This woman was Antonina Fedorovna, the wife of Vladimir Konstantinovich.
The life of our heroine was quite thorny and eventful.
Antonina Fyodorovna Borodina was born on 7 February 1925 in the town of Klintsy, Bryansk region, in the large family of the cabinetmaker. Orphaned at the age of six, she was brought up by her older sister Valentina Fyodorovna.
In 1932 Antonina Fyodorovna entered the Herzen secondary school in her home town, and in 1941 she successfully completed nine grades.
With the outbreak of war and temporary occupation, she and her sister were evacuated to Saratov region, where they worked in the military hospital. At the same time, Antonina Fyodorovna attended nursing courses and completed the 10th grade of secondary school.
Having dreamed of the career as a doctor since childhood, Antonina Fyodorovna became the first year student of Smolensk Medical Institute in 1945.
In 1947 she was transferred to the third year of Alma-Ata Medical Institute, where she graduated with distinction in 1950. For her outstanding academic achievements, Antonina Fedorovna was enrolled as a clinical assistant in the Department of Hospital Surgery at the Medical Institute named after Molotov. During her studies at the Institute, Antonina Fedorovna actively participated in scientific circles and student conferences, demonstrating not only a thirst for knowledge, but also a deep devotion to her chosen profession.
She met her future husband in Barnaul in 1946, when she was a student on holiday visiting her older sister. They first met in the cinema at the railway station, not far from their home. They met often, going together to fetch water with buckets on pails. They liked to watch films, walk in the park and talk about life.
Vladimir Konstantinovich introduced Antonina Fedorovna to his parents in 1950.
After completing her clinical training in 1953, she was sent by the Ministry of Health to Alma-Ata Regional Hospital. After completing her internship, Antonina Fedorovna and Vladimir Konstantinovich got married.
Antonina Fyodorovna started working as a surgeon in the hospital, in September 1955 due to the birth of her first son - Nikolai, she was sent by the Ministry of Health to the Municipal Clinical Hospital of Alma-Ata as a doctor of the Department of Pediatric Surgery.
In 1950-1960 Antonina Fyodorovna worked as a teacher of the draft medical commission according to the resolution of the District Party Committee and the District Executive Committee of Soviet district. In addition, her active participation in the activities of the Red Cross of Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 1 had been repeatedly recognised with certificates of commendation and thanks, which testifies to her selflessness and dedication. Moreover, she actively participated in the activities of the Red Cross of Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 1, for which she was repeatedly honoured with records of excellence.
In 1958, by decision of the Executive Committee of Sovetsky District, Antonina Fedorovna received 6 hectares of land to build a house on Maurice Terez Street. This period was very difficult for her and Vladimir Konstantinovich, but the most important thing was that they got their own house at 255 Maurice Terez Street.
In 1962, when they were already living in their new home, a second son, Victor, was born.
Between 1964 and 2002, Antonina Fedorovna was a senior lecturer in the medical training cycle at the Civil Defence Department of Kazakh State University named after S. M. Kirov (now Al-Farabi Kazakh National University).
During the years of her work, Antonina Fedorovna conducted the extensive theoretical and practical training of nurses. All her classes were held at a high methodological level, which testified to her great dedication and skill. She systematically supervised the clinical practice of students in medical institutions of Alma-Ata, gave lectures and methodological developments in the field of “Surgery”.
Antonina Fedorovna also took an active part in public work. For a number of years she was a member of the methodological council on medical training of the Civil Defence Department of the Ministry of Public Education, a member of the People's Oversight Committee.
For her diligent work Antonina Fedorovna was awarded a certificate of honour from the Ministry of National Education and the “Winner of the Socialist Competition” badge.
She passed away in April 2013. She was a strong and loving woman who was always by the great man's side, supporting, inspiring and believing in his talent and success.
